Job Description

SUMMARY

The Pantry & Dining Services Coordinator supports the Supervisor and entire department in dining services operations.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Verifies schedules daily and confirms all shifts for culinary host team, finds coverage when needed
  • Processes admissions, discharges, transfers and changes of diet orders
  • Prints meal tickets for meals and tallies
  • Ensures weekly menus are available for all residents in assigned area
  • Conducts daily rounding and supervision of Culinary Host.
  • Conducts weekly In-services
  • Attends lunch and dinner huddles to ensure effective communication among the team
  • Implements and monitors performance improvement measures for service recovery and department effectiveness
  • Monitors all food temperatures log to guarantee compliance, responds to concerns and coaches staff as needed
  • Conducts audits of pantries at the end of shifts. Implements corrective action when necessary, Forward feedback to upper management for documentation process.
  • Provides orientation an on-the-job training for new employees. Ensures implementation of policies and procedures for all employees

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.
