Lead Housekeeper

Each role plays an important part of our team and impacts our organization. We will trust you with important tasks!

How to make an impact:

  • Carries out Housekeeping cleaning duties in assigned areas daily.
  • Ensures adherence to all Housekeeping Policies and Procedures. Ensures adherence to all cleaning procedures and techniques so all areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Plans daily work assignments for staff to ensure adequate service.
  • Train, supervise and develop staff consistent with established policies.
  • Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment daily.
  • Provide feedback on supplies inventory to the Housekeeping Manager for ordering.
  • Coordinates department operations with other departments and supervisors.
  • Participates in weekly departmental staff meetings.
  • Disinfects equipment and supplies and keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintains cleaning equipment in proper working condition and reports on equipment and/or furniture in need of repair.
  • Ensure all apartments are cleaned thoroughly, including vacant and occupied units.
  • Ensure all other areas such as offices, workrooms, lobbies, classrooms, laundry room and restrooms are cleaned, as assigned.
  • Coordinate with Sales department and Maintenance to execute apartment moves, model setups, and guest reservations.
  • Read and understand reports pertaining to occupancy, guest reservations, and residents on the move.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and reprioritize assigned tasks as needed.
  • Supports, and adheres to all Policies, and Procedures of MorseLife Health System including, but not limited to:
    • MLHS Attendance Policy
    • MLHS Standards of Conduct as described in the company’s Employee Handbook.
    • MLHS Privacy Practices in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Kind, decent, and respectful behavior
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
