Certified Dietary Manager

The dietary manager will assist the culinary director to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department.

 

How to make an impact:

 

  • Work as a partner with the clinical teams to improve overall resident satisfaction and quality outcomes of residents
  • Inter and Intra-departmental orientation and training for all dining services and programs
  • Assures equipment, utensils, and food supplies to ascertain that separation of dairy and meat products is maintained and that Kosher dietary laws are followed
  • Maintains food management system and processes to ensure resident needs are met within prescribed diets
  • Assist culinary director with maintaining adequate inventory within budget
  • Ensure staffing meets departmental needs without incurring overtime
  • Quality assurance and performance improvement programs to ensure regulatory compliance within the department
  • Develops team members and looks to find innovative ways to deliver services

Job Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Must hold or acquire Certifications as a Dietary Manager (CDM); an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management
  • Three to five years related experience in an acute care, long term or health care setting
  • Must have at least one year experience in a management role
  • Expert communications skills and proficient in all computer and software programs
