Registered Dietician

In this role, you will work in our state of the art facility with focus on patient centered care that caters to Short Term Rehabilitation.

How to make an impact:

  • Direct supervision of registered dietitian(s) and diet tech(s). Dotted line supervision to culinary staff.
  • Accountable for Regulatory and Food Code Compliance
  • Assist with menu planning and revision of cycle and holiday menu cycles. Record diet histories and food preferences by interviewing residents and families. Perform standard nutritional assessments using Nutrition Care Process (NCP); complete state and federally mandated data collection tools (MDS) within designated time periods. Provide diet instruction to residents and/or family members on prescribed diets.
  • Record periodic nutritional care data in the medical record. Review and adjust therapeutic diets to reflect any changes in the daily menu and suggest the use of supplemental feedings when necessary.
  • Assist in providing administrative direction for menu formulation, food preparation and service; establish programs, policies and procedures that will enhance the residents’ nutritional needs.
  • Coordinates both inter and intra departmental professional activities to provide optimum nutritional care for the residents and serve as consultant to clinical and culinary staff on matters pertaining to dietetics and nutrition.
  • Attend and participate in Care Plan Meetings as designated.
  • Assist in development and delivery of departmental and facility-wide educational programs.
  • Ensure that all clinical issues meet and/or exceed Federal, State and County regulations.


Job Requirements

To qualify you must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; with minimally one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of RD experience in a SNF setting
  • Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Licensed Dietitian, State of Florida
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Dietitian
  • One (1) year of experience as a Lead / Manager Registered Dietitian
