Job Description

Senior Networking Security Engineer


Responsible for all aspects of network and computer security, patch and threat management and the continuity of operation of equipment/services; authentications and account administration, security policies; configuring and administering data circuits, Internet services, wireless networks, and the programming and support of the LAN/WAN technologies (firewalls, routers, VLAN's and VPN's).


How to make an impact:

  • Perform the administration, design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Network and Security infrastructure solutions and appraise ongoing assessment of Servers, Firewalls, VPN, SSL, intrusion detection or intrusion prevention and other network component policies.


  • Coordinate and oversee log analysis for IT related Infrastructure to ensure IT Policies and  IT security requirements are achieved.


  • Maintain the configuration of IT Infrastructure and have the hands ability and comprehensive understanding and technical know-how with  server administration, including GPO deployment, patching, and network device configuration, and hardware management patch management, including experience and knowledge of implementing, configuring, integrating and supporting the network security with Palo Alto AD, and Exchange 365 environment.


  •  Monitor information system activity, collect, review, and retain audit logs to include system logs and records, and determine actions to be taken when discrepancies are detected.


  • Monitor, manage, and proactively respond to work orders (requests and incidents) in the Information Security team’s queue, and assist with problem resolution as needed.


  • Working knowledge of common network protocols and services, such as TCP, UDP, DNS, and DHCP , Microsoft Active Directory.  VEEAM administration is a plus.


  • Organized and proactive individual who is detail-oriented and a self-starter. The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal direction, and identify and communicate opportunities for technical and operational improvement and have Tenacity with the ability to see a task through to resolution and have the ability to communicate effectively with external vendors and support services when troubleshooting issues.


  • Can convey the proper level of details of a matter effectively to varied audiences.


  • Support critical projects in the areas of IT Network and IT Security.


  • Conduct information security training and awareness activities (phishing and social engineering campaigns, newsletters, etc.)


  • Ability to remain calm while multi-tasking and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have a attention to detail and great problem solving skills.


  • Share on-call responsibilities, night and weekend project, and support work as required.


  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.


  • Industry certifications is a plus or equivalent.


  • Ability to communicate effectively with external vendors and support services when troubleshooting issues.

Job Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Minimum 5 years experience Networking Systems Administrator.

  • Minimum 5 Years Windows Administration.

  • VLAN and Cisco switch experience, CCNA or Network + preferred. 

  • Advanced level experience with the design and setup, relating to various networking models and architectures, networks and their servers and functions, and technologies including such protocols as TCP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, HTTP.

  • Expert with Administration of Windows 2003-2012 Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, Application Servers, Terminal Servers, DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Network Switches and Routers/UTM, TCP/IP.
