Housing Receivables Supervisor

The Housing Receivables Supervisor is responsible for establishing and managing the billing receivables for the housing units. This role ensures that the appropriate systems and procedures are in place to effectively manage the housing billing and collection of funds. Focus on customer service is essential.

How to make an impact:

  • Meet with new resident/family at the time of admission to review the billing process with them as to what is expected in time of their contract as well as the ACH auto pay monthly deduction enrollment

 

  • Maintains excellent customer service by building a relationship with all residents and family members/POA, if applicable.

 

  • Manage resolutions of customer complaint logs and ensure outcomes are satisfactory to the customer.

 

  • Manages and monitors all housing billing, posting payments, and receivables functions which also includes timely collection of funds based on the resident’s contract.

 

  • Develops and implements billing and collection procedures to ensure both are in compliance with the resident’s contract as well as internal finance department control procedures and maximization of account receivables effectiveness as measured by increased collections and reduced aging.

 

  • Supervises the daily work of designated employees to ensure that the month rent and other charges are accurately posted into the system and the bills are sent out in a timely manner as outlined in the resident’s contract.

 

  • Accountable for training and development of staff.

 

  • Handle all refund requests as outlined in the resident’s contract and in accordance with State Laws and Regulations.

 

  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual financial postings, reconciliations, audits, and reports as needed.

 

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience, in billing and collection in an IL and AL industry 

 

  • Associate Business Degree or above preferred

 

  •  Responsible for the overall coordination, supervision, and evaluation of housing billing
