Vice President of Human Resources

Provides leadership to ensure the alignment of all human resources systems in support of MorseLife’s mission, values and vision.  Serves as a key executive leader and advisor on talent development, organizational design and other organizational effectiveness interventions.  Leads the development and implementation of a people strategy and supporting HR vision that delivers strategic thought and partnership to operational and clinical leadership.  Emphasizes the development of servant leaders who create nourishing work environments, a culture of high performance and healing, compassion and caregiver engagement; and organizational spirit.

How to make an impact:

  • Seeks a unified understanding of, commitment to, and realization of the desired culture.  Identifies, assesses and develops interventional strategies and approaches to close gaps between current reality and desired culture. 
  • Drives recruitment and talent acquisition function that results in strong talent that is able to achieve the strategic plan
  • Develops and implements a leadership talent development and succession strategy aligned with Morselife’s philosophy and growth strategy 
  • Creates and implements an HR/talent strategy that delivers strategic thought, partnership and decision support that effectively links caregivers to the organization’s strategic success.
  • Designs and implements an HR delivery model based upon measurable outcomes, where system-wide transactional and administrative services are cost-effective, streamlined, standardized and, as appropriate, centralized.
  • Leads the assessment and development of system human resource functions; specifically, designing programs and services to enhance the business, strategic, tactical capabilities and identifying technology that enables effective delivery.
  • Ensures the design and implementation of system strategies to standardize and align compensation and benefit programs and practices within the context of the system’s total compensation philosophy.
  • Ensures the growth and development of caregivers within MorseLife’s HR community in order to respond to major emerging workforce trends and new service offerings and expectations.
  • Provides leadership and design related to the company’s annual strategic planning processes.
  • Assures that applicable regulatory and compliance requirements are in place; policies and procedures are developed, documented, communicated and followed. •    10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience within large, growth oriented environments.

  • Ability to think strategically and implement locally across various settings of care.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in strategic human resources planning and implementation.
  • Knowledge of contemporary human resource, and organizational effectiveness models and practice.
  • Exceptional relationship, team and people development skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly matrixed health system.
  • Transformational change leader and systems thinker with a demonstrated track record of leading change in a complex environment.
  • Executive presence in written and verbal communications and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to facilitate resolution of conflicts, handling highly charged problems and situations in a calm and objective manner.
  • Ability to deliver financial results for area(s) of responsibility.
